Show me your friend and I would tell you who you are, sounds familiar I guess so, for most of us who were born before year 2000 should be conversant with that proverb. It might be old but I assure you it is still valid. The people you talk to, walk with, discuss with, do most of life's basic things with matter a lot.
A friend, defined from the oxford advanced learners dictionary is a person you know well and like, and who is not usually a member of your family that definition holds no doubt, but in recent times once a person walks with you or sits with you during lunch that person is tagged 'your friend'. It is paramount we walk, talk, dine, associate with people we are proud of to be tagged as our friends.
Associate yourself with your friends. We all have people in our lives we can proudly call our friends and it is important we all have friends, friends are the building blocks of some key areas of one's life. 'No man is an island'. If you go out to look for a friend you would not find one, but if you make yourself a friend you would find one. Friendship is not by force it is by choice. Don't let your friends choose you , you choose them and make sure you choose wisely.
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Happy Sunday
